Most refurb shops grade with three buckets ("Excellent", "Good", "Fair") and stretch every device into the highest one it can survive. We don't. Every device gets scored across each aspect of its build, and the result is the grade we ship it under. Whatever lands at the front door is the device we described.
FreshStartTech is run by Ty Burke out of Sun City West, Arizona. Background in software; spent enough years buying used hardware to be sick of the gap between what the listing said and what showed up.
Every device on the site was inspected, photographed, and packed by one person. No subcontracted grading service, no white-labeled inventory, no "our quality team" language that means nothing.

Every device is scored across screen, body, battery, ports, and more. Not a single "good" / "excellent" stretch. The grade you see is the literal output of that rubric.
We disclose what we won't fix.
iCloud lock, carrier lock, blacklist status. Each is surfaced on the listing verbatim. We never bury a fact about the device you're about to buy.
If we graded wrong, we eat the return.
Free return shipping + full refund if a device shows up worse than the grade we set. The whole pricing model depends on us being accurate, so we treat it that way.
